An organic-inorganic composite polymer electrolyte membrane for fuel cells is provided to ensure excellent ion conductivity, proton conductivity and performance of the fuel cell. An organic-inorganic composite polymer electrolyte membrane for fuel cells comprises the steps of: (a-1) pre-treating a hydrocarbon-based polymer; (b-1) dissolving the polymer prepared from (a-1) step in the sulfuric acid; (c-1) cooling the sulfonated hydrocarbon polymer formed from (b-1) step, and then precipitating the polymer in distilled water and washing it; (d-1) sulfonating the washed sulfonated hydrocarbon polymer to manufacture the polymer; (e-1) washing the polymer obtained from (d-1) step and drying the polymer in vacuum; (a-2) dissolving the polymer obtained from (e-1) step in an organic solvent including a proton conductive polymer, and mixing a precursor or a sol-gel process to obtain a mixture; (b-2) maintaining and stirring the mixture obtained from (a-2) step to a constant temperature; (c-2) casting and drying the product obtained from (b-2) step in a membrane form; and (d-2) sulfating the membrane obtained from (c-2) step to prepare the membrane substituted in a hydrogen ion form and then drying the membrane to obtain the organic-inorganic composite polymer electrolyte membrane.
|
