AN ENDOGLUCANASE HAVING CRYSTALLINE CELLULOSE DEGRADING ACTIVITY FROM FOMITOPSIS PINICOLA

PURPOSE: A crystalline cellulose decomposition-active endoglucanase derived from Fomitopsis pinicola is probided to effectively decompose cellulose of wood biomass. CONSTITUTION: A Fomitopsis pinicola-derived endoglucanase comprises amino acid sequences, DIHNYARW(sequence number 1), LIFDVHKY(sequence number 2) and RQAIISETG(sequence number 3). A cellobiose or cellotriose is produced by hydrolyzing entoglucanase cellutetraose or cellopentaose. An enzyme formulation for decompositing wood biomass contains endoglucanase as an active ingredient.
