摘要 <p>PURPOSE: A method of reducing complexity of an expectation-maximization-based channel estimation using a pilot for an OFDM digital broadcasting system are provided to improve costs for manufacturing a chip inside a terminal and the size of the terminal by reducing a complexity in a conventional channel estimation. CONSTITUTION: A component of channel is detected by a pilot slot(S100). A channel value between p slots is estimated by using an interpolation method(S110). An initial channel estimation value is obtained by using an linear interpolation(S120). The initial channel parameter is set(S130). A process of reducing the complexity of the channel estimation is performed(S140-S160). An i index is repetitively processed in a specific p index(S170). An EM algorithm is repetitively processed(S180).</p>
