PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove dirt attached to a surface of a filter by a simple and compact method while minimizing generation of friction and deterioration of the filter, to solve a problem found in scraping off dust that a great deal of frictional force generates between a rolled brush as a cleaned object and a dust scraping-off means, thus a surface of the rolled brush is roughened, and its deterioration is accelerated. SOLUTION: In this humidifier 11 including a body case 12, a repulsive humidification filter 13, an air distributing means for distributing the air to the humidification filter 13, and a water storage tray 15 as a water supply means to the humidification filter 13, the humidification filter 13 is automatically cleaned in the humidifier 11. The steam residue attached to the surface of the humidification filter 13 can be removed, thus degradation of humidifying performance caused by clogging can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
