PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding component with high wear resistance, having a lubricating oil holding structure, and a structure for supplying a lubricating oil irrespective of the contact angle with a counter part. SOLUTION: This sliding component is a precision machinery component in which at least three layers are laminated, and a portion substantially parallel to the laminating direction has a sliding part in contact with another part, and at least a part of the sliding part has a recess.
