<p>The present invention which relates to the structure of a check valve and an oil seal in an auto-tensioner comprises a cylinder, the check valve, and the oil seal. A piston coupled with a piston housing is inserted into the cylinder which is press-fitted into an outer housing filled with hydraulic fluid. The check valve composed of a check ball supported by a check valve spring installed in a check valve cover is installed on a check valve sheet installed at the lower end of the piston. A fluid path is formed in the check valve sheet and the piston. The oil seal is installed between the outer housing and the piston housing and has two surfaces which respectively contact the outer and piston housings, wherein the surface contacting the outer housing is corrugated and the surface contacting the piston housing has a lattice-shaped groove thereon. A spiral air vent path is formed at the upper part of the lattice-shaped groove in order to connect the lattice-shaped groove to an air vent groove formed at the lower part of a fixed end.</p> |
