PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly productive image forming device having stable sheet transporting property that suppresses a sheet separation failure after a sheet has passed through a fixing part. SOLUTION: In the image forming device that has: a fixing device for pressing and heating an image on a sheet; and a transportation part for continuously transporting sheets by overlapping a back end of a preceding sheet with the front end of a following sheet, the sections of the preceding sheet and the following sheet that overlap with each other overlap such that the relations of the front and the back are reversed between an end of a first face and an end of a second face. Thereby, a sheet separation failure after the passage of the sheets through the fixing part is suppressed, an achieving stable sheet transportation property is achieved.
