<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication apparatus capable of reducing radio wave interference and realizing efficient wireless communication. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The wireless communications apparatus has: a plurality of antennas 1 and 2 each of which has a different communication range; a propagation loss calculator 4 that receives a radio wave from a surrounding wireless communications apparatus, and calculates a propagation loss between transmission and reception based on a received radio wave strength; a communication target determination part 6 that determines whether or not each surrounding wireless communication apparatus becomes a communication target based on an antenna from which the radio wave is received and on the calculated propagation loss; and a communication controller 8 that decides the antenna with which wireless transmission is carried out and the transmission radio wave strength based on the propagation loss for the wireless communication apparatus as the communication target.
