<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound which is excellent in coloration and useful as a pigment changing its hue upon thermal decomposition and a composition containing the pigment. <P>SOLUTION: The compound is a fluoranthene pigment which changes its hue by heat and, for example, a compound expressed by compound (A) or (B) derived from fluoranthene compound (1). A composition containing the compound and a binder is useful as an imaging material.
