<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a color smear caused during an image display in a display device, which performs a gradation display by dividing the image of one frame into a plurality of sub-frame images. <P>SOLUTION: In a sub-frame method in which a plurality of binary images are weighted in different manners and temporally superimposed to display a halftone, a sub-frame turn-on pattern is restricted for the purpose of reduction of the pseudo contour of a moving image, to cause uneven and large gradation level difference. In a case where the gradation display is performed by an error diffusion method for interpolating the uneven and large gradation level difference in order to suppress the color shift caused by the error diffusion method, a function for selecting two colors or a plurality of colors near to a neutral color to be displayed and a function for mixing and displaying the selected colors at an appropriate rate are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
