PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: since an oil pan has such a two-layer structure that at high oil temperature, only bimetal arranged between an inner wall and an outer wall is brought into contact with the inner wall and outer wall and a clearance is formed between the inner wall and outer wall, the oil pan having the two-layer structure has remarkably deteriorated radiation performance in comparison with an oil pan having a completely single layer structure, that is, a normal oil pan. SOLUTION: By the deformation of a connection 13, this oil pan has the two-layer structure formed by an oil pan body 11 and an exterior portion 12 at low oil temperature and has the single layer structure formed by the oil pan body 11 and exterior portion 12 at the high oil temperature.
