The present invention relates to macrolide derivatives of formula (I) in which R1 and R2 have the meanings given in the description; which are endowed with antiinflammatory activity and are substantially free of antibiotic properties, to pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof and to pharmaceutical compositions containing them as active ingredient.
