<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the efficiency of a compressor by lowering the viscosity of lubricating oil in a compressor without increasing an input and without lowering a reliability, to reduce an input into the compressor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A compression element 103, sliding parts which constitute the compression element 103, and a lubricating oil 105 supplied to lubricate the sliding members of the sliding parts are installed in a container 102. The temperature of the lubricating oil 105 is heated with a heating means 150 which utilizes a heat source of a discharge gas 130 such as a refrigerant to reduce the viscosity of the lubricating oil 105, thereby reducing a sliding loss.
