<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor controlling the degree of importance of each highlight scene for a plurality of still image capturing apparatuses, and adding different numbers of identification information of imaging apparatuses in highlight scene detection desired parts present in each highlight scene to the degree of importance of each detected highlight scene, and reproducing a scene highly expected to be viewed by a plurality of users; and an information processing method. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The information processor includes: an identification information processing part 103 for acquiring identification information of an imaging apparatus from still image content; and an importance degree addition part 109 for generating the degree of importance of the highlight scene obtained by adding different numbers of identification information of imaging apparatuses in highlight scene detection desired parts present in each highlight scene to the degree of importance of the highlight scene.
