<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle point protector which reliably protects a needle point with force as less as possible and stably maintains the needle point in the protected state. <P>SOLUTION: The needle point protector is configured in such a manner that deflectable sections 88 and 89, and a rearward movement-preventing pawl section 91 are provided to a protector body 66 over which an acting ring 60 is mounted and that the deflectable sections 88 and 89 are deflected and deformed when the acting ring 60 is moved forward to a predetermined position relative to the protector body 66. The point 20 of a needle 10 to which the protector body 66 is mounted is protected by a protecting section 92 provided to the front ends of the deflectable sections. The needle point protector is also configured in such a manner that the rearward movement-preventing pawl section 91 is engaged to a first engagement surface provided at the acting ring 60 for preventing the acting ring 60 from moving backward relative to the protector body 66 while being prevented from deflecting and deforming in an access direction to the needle 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
