A data processing device (101) is provided which makes it possible for a larger number of commands to be executed in parallel. The data processing device (101) is equipped with: a first register file unit (110) including a plurality of registers; a second register file unit (210) including a plurality of registers corresponding to the registers of the first register file unit (110); a first calculation device (120) that executes calculations using read data of the first register file unit (110); and a second calculation device (220). The first register file unit (110) transmits data to the register of the second register file unit (210) corresponding to the register that holds the data, and the first calculation device (120) transmits a calculation result held by this first calculation device (120) to the second calculation device (220). The second calculation device (220) executes calculations using the read data of each register of the second register file unit (210) and/or the calculation results of the first calculation device (120).
