<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity in sequentially recording data on a plurality of optical disks using an optical disk device. <P>SOLUTION: When recording the data on the plurality of optical disks while the optical disk device is built in a duplicator etc., a system controller 32 determines whether a manufacturer ID (MID) of the optical disk to be recorded next matches the previous MID. When the MIDs match each other, it is determined whether the variation of optimal recording power by an OPC is within an allowable range.
