PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transferring apparatus which can improve handiness and can mitigate the anxiety of a transferred person. SOLUTION: The transferring apparatus 10 includes a mount 12, a body 14, which is prolonged in back and forth directions and is supported by the mount 12 between the back end and the front end, a slider 16 formed in a way able to move backward and forward on the body 14, a holding member 18, which holds the transferred person in a way of carrying on the back and is supported in a way able to tilt backward and forward by the slider 16, an air cylinder 24 for backward and forward tilting the holding member 18, and air cylinders 26a and 26b for backward and forward moving the slider 16 and in its turn the holding member 18. The holding member 18 is moved to the front end side of the body 14 by the actuation of the air cylinders 26a and 26b after tilted to the front end side of the body 14 by the actuation of the air cylinder 24. Thus, the transferred person held by the holding member 18 sits down on the body 14 so that a part of the body may be located on the front end side of the body 14 from the predetermined stem A of the mount 12.
