POWER TRANSMISSION ANALYSIS

A method of analysing a power transmission arrangement. The method defines an energy flow network representing the power transmission arrangement and comprising: one or more storage blocks for storing energy and supplying stored energy within the energy flow network, wherein the energy store/supply at a storage block is modelled using a first network parameter; one or more efficiency blocks for modelling energy loss from the energy flow network, wherein the energy loss at an efficiency block is modelled using a second network parameter; one or more routing blocks for routing energy within the energy flow network and configured to route energy between at least three branches, wherein the routing at each routing block is modelled using a third network parameter; programming the energy flow network by determining the network parameters; and using the programmed energy flow network to determine, analyse or predict energy flow.
