<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve power-saving of a compact base station that is installed indoors like a femtocell base station. <P>SOLUTION: The radio base station for transmitting and receiving a radio signal to/from at least one radio terminal existing in an area includes a transmitter for transmitting a radio signal, a receiver for receiving a radio signal, a timing managing unit for managing information about start timing of the transmitter and the receiver and notifying at least one radio terminal of the information about the start timing of the transmitter and the receiver, and a control unit for performing switching control of the start and stop of the transmitter and the receiver, wherein the control unit controls the start and stop of the transmitter and the receiver on the basis of the information about the start timing managed by the timing managing unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
