<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle comprising an inexpensive device constitution capable of automatically performing adjustment of an air amount by a blower motor and making a temperature in a vehicle cabin proper. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner 1 for the vehicle conditions the air inside the vehicle cabin by air-conditioning air passing through an evaporator or a heater core by driving a blower motor BM and blown into the vehicle cabin through a blowing out port. In this case, the air conditioner 1 includes: an air amount setting switch 101 for setting the air conditioner 1 for the vehicle to a plurality of action modes including an auto-mode; and a switching means 100 having FETs 1-3, for varying a voltage applied to the blower motor BM and the number of revolution of the blower motor BM step-by-step by ON/OFF-acting the FETs 1-3 in a previously set step such that a temperature absolute value Ts, i.e., an absolute value of difference of a temperature Ta of the air-conditioning air in the blowing out port and an in-cabin temperature Tr becomes 0 (zero) at setting of auto-mode.
