PURPOSE: A vacuum cleaner is provided to remove dust on a filter unit without steps of detaching the filter unit and cleaning the filter unit and flow clean air into a suction motor. CONSTITUTION: A vacuum cleaner is comprises a vacuum cleaner body; a dust collecting container(120) which is detachably installed to the vacuum cleaner body; a pressurizing member which applies pressure to the dust in the dust collecting container; and a filter unit(240) which is located on the upper stream of a suction motor. Dust is collected in a collecting container separated from the filter unit when the suction motor operates.
