PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the use capacity of a memory used when image data is to be formed. SOLUTION: Demultiplexers 400 and 401 select one of 64 registers by the input of control data 201 and index data 202, and read an image split pattern stored as the drive pattern of laser beam from the selected register. A semiconductor laser element is driven by the outputted image split pattern to emit laser beam to form a potential latent image on a photosensitive body not shown in a drawing. Further, the bank of the image split pattern supplied to the semiconductor laser element is changed corresponding to a control data 210. |
