PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for providing digital broadcasting information to a portable terminal are provided to prevent a channel search delay during a digital broadcast receiving process by performing a channel scanning with multiple players. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for providing digital broadcasting information to a portable terminal comprises the following: a channel list manager(112) setting a channel list by an actual burst transmission sequence after checking the actual burst transmission sequence; and a controller(110) successively searching the set channel by multiple players by receiving a channel scanning sequence. The controller repeatedly performs to play one channel on a first player, receiving data for the next channel while playing the first player, and playing the new channel on a second player.
