The invention relates to solid oxide fuel cells, in particular to cathode materials based on complex oxides of transition metals. Said invention makes it possible to increase the conductivity of a cathode material and to reduce the thermal expansion factor thereof. The inventive perovskite-like oxide is in the form of a compound of general formula Sr<SUB>1-x-y</SUB>Ca<SUB>y</SUB>R<SUB>x</SUB>Co<SUB>1-z</SUB>Mn<SUB>z</SUB>O<SUB>3-t </SUB>, wherein 0 < x= 0.75; 0 = y=1.0; 0=z=1.0; R is an element from a Sm,Gd and Y-containing group.
