PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a laminate, by which a metal oxide can be buried efficiently in pores of a porous base material and a metal oxide film excellent in surface smoothness and denseness can be formed. SOLUTION: The method for producing the laminate comprises a step of jetting a metal oxide film forming solution, in which metal salt or an organic metal compound is dissolved as a metal source, toward the porous base material heated to the temperature equal to or higher than the metal oxide film forming temperature to form the metal oxide film on the porous base material. The jetting direction of the metal oxide film forming solution is set toward the porous base material side and is inclined with respect to the normal line direction of the surface of the porous base material.
