<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a high pressure fuel pump of an internal combustion engine, allowing a fuel pressure control with high precision without being restricted by the number of cylinders of the internal combustion engine or the number of phase sensor signals and the number of cam crests vertically driving a plunger of a high pressure fuel pump, even when a camshaft phase is varied with a variable valve timing mechanism, using the high pressure fuel pump having a solenoid valve. <P>SOLUTION: The control device has a means for changing an effective stroke by driving the solenoid valve in the high pressure fuel pump. In the drive timing of the high pressure fuel pump, a means for changing the drive timing of the high pressure fuel pump based on the cylinder determination value of the internal combustion engine with a cam angle detecting means as an origin, is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
