<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide axial air gap electric motors different in a skew angle using one kind of pole member. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In each axial air gap electric motor, a stator and a rotor are placed along the direction of the rotation axis line of the rotor with a predetermined gap in between opposite to each other. The stator includes multiple pole members 22a to 22i annularly arranged with the rotation axis line at the center. Each of the pole members 22a to 22i includes a tooth having a tooth surface 51 formed by laminating electromagnetic steel plates; an insulator so formed that it covers the tooth except the tooth surface 51; and a coil wound on the insulator. The pole members 22a to 22i are respectively rotated with lines parallel with the rotation axis line, respectively corresponding to the pole members 22a to 22i, taken as central axes O'a to O'i and each tooth surface 51 is thereby provided with the skew angle θ.
