<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that not only improves light emitting efficiency but also achieves low power consumption and high luminance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The display device includes an array substrate 100 having a self-light emitting element 40. The self-light emitting element 40 includes: a first electrode 60; a second electrode 64 disposed closer to a side of a sealing substrate 200 than the first electrode 60; and an organic active layer 62 held between the first electrode 60 and second electrode 64.
