<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display for displaying mutually adjacent first and second designs with different colors and making color mixing inconspicuous, without making the configuration complicated. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display 1 includes a liquid crystal panel 2 for displaying mutually adjacent first and second designs 21 and 22 in a light transmission state; first and second light sources 51 and 52 that are arranged behind the liquid crystal panel 2 and transmit and illuminate the first and second designs 21 and 22, respectively; and a partition wall 7 that is arranged behind the liquid crystal panel 2 and between the first and second light sources 51 and 52, and suppresses the leakage of light of the first and second light sources 51 and 52 to the second and first designs 22 and 21. The light of the first and second light sources 51 and 52 is set so that their mixed light is more inconspicuous for the light of the second light source 52 than for the light of the first light source 51.
