<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a punching blade in a punching die for a carton blank break line contact portion, capable of preventing continuity of sharp break lines due to continuous operations of a cutting blade of a contacting punching blade and an unnecessary blade stopping state due to chipping of the punching blade, resulting in fouling of a blank surface rear state such as paper tear or scarfing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The structure of a punching blade contact portion in the punching die for a carton blank, structured so that a second punching blade crosses and abuts on a first punching blade, the second punching blade's abutment end face is chamfered at or in a crossing and abutment angle or shape, a groove-shaped portion comprised of at least a width of an abutment face of a second punching blade and a depth of substantially a half as large as a thickness of the first punching blade and leaving a blade edge of a cutting blade part is drilled over the whole height in a side face of the first punching blade, an end face of the second punching blade is inserted into and is abutted on the groove-shaped part of the first punching blade to make a cutter of the first cutting blade continuous to that of the second punching blade.
