<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a toner capable of stably forming an image of high image quality and enlarging a color reproducing range. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a toner containing at least a binder resin and a colorant as toner raw materials includes: a preliminary dispersion process of kneading a part of the binder resin and the whole amount of the colorant in the toner raw materials, followed by pulverizing the kneaded material to an average particle diameter of not more than 0.1 mm; and a mixing process of mixing the preliminarily dispersed material obtained in the preliminary dispersion process with the rest of the toner raw material.
