1,124,350. Rotter-way conveyers. M. VON BUSHE, and T. ALTENBRACHT, [trading as TH. KIESERLING & ALBRECHT]. 1 Nov., 1965 [11 March, 1965], No. 46185/65. Heading B8A. A roller bed comprises aligned rollers, each of which is divided into two separate frustoconical members 1a, 1b, Fig. 2, arranged one on each side of the path of travel of workpieces 7, e.g. tubes issuing from a tube drawing installation, each member being mounted on a lever 3 which is rotatable about an axis 3c, and gable-end, roof-shaped members 8 being provided between the rollers. As shown, the members 1a, 1b are freely rotatable but they may be driven. The levers 3 are selectively movable by rods 4, Fig. 1, connected to doubleacting rams 5 and adjustable by turnbuckles 4a, 4b. In operation, the workpieces 7 are discharged to one or other side of the roller bed by movement of the appropriate levers 3 to lower either the members 1a or the members 1b, the workpieces rolling down the inclined surfaces 8b or 8c of the members 8 to a receptacle which may be formed as a conveyer extending transversely of the path of travel of the workpieces 7 on the roller bed.
|
