PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat sink for natural air cooling which does not employ fans for forced cooling and which yet can dissipate heat from a heating element. SOLUTION: The heat sink for natural air cooling includes a base plate 11 whose one surface is thermally connected to the heating element, and a heat-dissipating fin unit 12 composed of parallel rows of metal thin plates 1 which are thermally connected to the other surface of the base plate and of which portions corresponding to the heating element are lower than the other portions. Each metal thin plate is substantially in an L-shape constituted of a bottom face portion and vertical face portions, with the bottom face portion being thermally connected to the base plate.
