<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bag for the outdoor unit of an air conditioner, which is excellent in the workability of inspection and can improve the accuracy in inspection. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The bag 1 for the outdoor unit of an air conditioner is such that it covers the outdoor unit 3 of an air conditioner, the outdoor unit 3 being provided on its side face with a pipe connecting part 4 that is to be connected to the indoor unit (not illustrated), protecting the outdoor unit from dust or the like during transportation. A severed part 2 of approximately tongue shape is provided at the pipe connecting part 4 side of the bag 1 for the outdoor unit, the severed part being formed by cutting three sides leaving the top end left over, thereby making it possible to perform inspection, on the outdoor unit 3 of a separation type air conditioner, of the leakage of coolant after covering the outdoor unit with the bag 1 for it using the severed part 2, thus the workability of inspection can be improved. Furthermore, since the bag 1 encloses the whole of the outdoor unit 3, it becomes possible to discover even the leakage of minute amount of coolant, so that the accuracy of inspection can be improved.
