PEPPER DISEASE RESISTANCE- AND CELL DEATH-RELATED, ABSCISIC ACID-RESPONSIVE GENE CAABR1 AND TRANSGENIC PLANTS USING THE SAME

摘要

PURPOSE: A CaABR1(Capsicum annuum Abscisic acid-responsive protein 1) relating plant disease resistance and apoptosis and to produce resistant plant and transgenic plant. CONSTITUTION: A Capsicum annuum L. cv. Nockwang-derived gene, CaABR1 has a sequence of sequence number 1. An isolated protein CaABR1 has an amino acid of sequence number 2. A recombinant vector pBIN35S::CaABR1 is prepared by inserting CaABR1 gene into pBIN35S. A transgenic plant is obtained by transforming CaABR1 gene with the recombinant vector. The plant is Capsicum annuum or the arabidopsis thaliana. The resistance of the plant is analyzed by isolating RNA from a plant which is inoculated with non-pathogenic bacteria and confirming CaABR1 gene expression by Northern blot.
