<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency of copy and comparison operations of HDD data built in a PC and car navigation, etc. to shorten time and to reduce costs. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A duplicate system is configured to store subsystem data into subsystem HDDs (S1, S2) to be arranged in order not to consider a slow data transfer rate of a LAN as extra time in a system via the LAN, to group the obtained system data according to the data content, to store predetermined pieces of group data into corresponding group HDDs (G11-G22), to copy and compare the group data to the group HDDs and target HDDs (T111-T222) forming a group, updates system data on a server 1 in server halt, transfers the subsystem data on the subsystem HDDs from the server via the LAN in halt of the server and the subsystem HDDs and updates the subsystem data.
