PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform air vent work of a brake system with a plurality of solenoid opening/closing valves. SOLUTION: This brake system includes a master cylinder generating brake fluid pressure together with brake operation, a wheel braking means braking a wheel by the fluid pressure, a first brake fluid passage connecting the master cylinder and the wheel braking means respectively, the first solenoid opening/closing valve arranged in this first brake fluid passage, a power unit generating the fluid pressure by an actuator, a second brake fluid passage connecting this power unit and the wheel braking means respectively, the second solenoid opening/closing valve arranged in this second brake fluid passage, and an ECU 13 opening/closing the first and second solenoid opening/closing valves. The ECU 13 includes an air vent mode setting part 154 performing the air vent work in the brake fluid passages including the first and second brake fluid passages by opening/closing the first and second solenoid opening/closing valves, and a determination part 153 determining whether transition to an air vent mode is allowed or not.
