<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily assemble a transom without using welding, a binding agent, a tool, or the like by combining frame members constituting the transom, to one another. <P>SOLUTION: This frame structure of the transom mounted to vertical frames of the door end and door tail to cover the upper part of an entrance opening formed at a skeleton is formed with horizontal frames having horizontal plates extending in the lateral direction of the opening, and vertical holding frames provided to face each other to hold both right and left ends of the horizontal frames. Each vertical holding frame includes side pieces projected in the mutually facing direction of the vertical holding frame from both width direction edges to intersect the ends of the horizontal plates, and slits horizontally extending in one or both of the edge of the side piece and the end of the horizontal plate at the intersecting part thereof.
