<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain lock which increases strength against destruction by regulating an excessive destruction force load on a lock body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This chain lock includes: a chain-like restraining body 2, both the ends of which are provided with connecting terminals 1, respectively; and a lock body 5 which makes the connecting terminal 1 of the chain-like restraining body 2 extractably received into a connecting hole 3a opened in a lock case 2, and which restrains the connecting terminal 1 by performing the operation of shutting a cylinder lock 4, so as to regulate the release of a closed loop shape formed by the chain-like restraining body 2. The connecting hole 3a is arranged almost orthogonally to a plane orthogonal to the central axis of the cylinder lock 4. The chain-like restraining body 2 is formed so that deformability in the restrained state of both the ends can be limited in a predetermined plane; and idling around the connecting hole is regulated in the state of connection to the lock body 5.
