<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can suppress color variation between same images that are formed on a plurality of sheets of paper based on one and the same image signal. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus: has a first measuring section 51_1 measure the magnification of expansion and contraction in respective portions of the image in the transporting direction by finding the shifted amounts from respective reference positions in positions of respective feature points in the transporting direction which are extracted based on the projected wave profile of the image formed by an image forming section 20; has a second measuring section 51_2 measure the magnification of expansion and contraction in respective portions of the image in the transporting direction based on a measured result of travelling speed of the paper by a paper transporting speed measuring section 60; has a reading position-portion magnification correcting section 52 correct the magnification of the expansion and contraction in respective portions of the image in the transporting direction obtained by the former process and then has a color variation detecting section 53 detect the color variation; and has a calibration instructing section 54 instruct an execution of a calibration to a color variation control processing section 30 based on the color variation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
