摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means improving acceleration response while preventing a driver from having a sense of incongruity due to a torque shock when restarting fuel supply. SOLUTION: An ECU 30 of an engine E executes deceleration fuel cut by making a fuel injection valve 9 stop fuel injection when fuel stop conditions are satisfied, and opens a throttle valve 18. The ECU closes the throttle valve 18 when fuel return conditions are satisfied after that, and makes the fuel injection valve 9 restart fuel injection after prescribed retardation time elapses. The ECU 30 discriminates if the satisfied fuel return conditions are fuel return conditions based on intention of a driver, and makes retardation time shorter as compared with a case that the fuel return conditions are not based on the intention of the driver when the fuel return conditions are based on the intention of the driver.
