<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily regulate the height and position of a narrow guide according to the culm length of stalks reaped in a pretreating part in a combine harvester having the narrow guide for carrying out grass-dividing of unreaped stalks on the side of an unreaped land of the pretreating part connected to the front of a traveling machine body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The combine harvester includes a shaking link 23 installed at the front of the traveling machine body 2 or in the pretreating part 5 thereof, and freely shaking in the front and rear directions of the traveling machine body 2. The intermediate part of the narrow guide 21 is supported on the shaking link 23 to constitute the narrow guide 21 so as to change the posture through the shaking link 23 into a grass-dividing operation posture A and a housed posture B. A height and position regulating mechanism R designed to regulate the height and position of the narrow guide 21 is installed on the side of a shaking fulcrum of the shaking link 23. As a result, the shaking link 23 is vertically moved through the height and position regulating mechanism R to thereby constitute the narrow guide 21 so that the height and position of the narrow guide 21 can be regulated.
