1, 049, 263. Surgical injection devices. P. MASSY. Feb. 22, 1965 [Feb. 24, 1964], No. 7655/65. Heading A5R. Surgical injection apparatus comprises two syringes 1, 2 Fig. 1 (not shown), devices 4 operated by compressed air operatively connected to the syringe pistons, the supply of compressed air to the devices being controlled by electrically operated valves EV1, EV2, and a control circuit for operating the valves according to a predetermined programme. The syringes are mounted on a cabinet housing the valves and piston-operating devices, which are supplied with compressed air through a connection on the cabinet. The syringes may be connected to a common outlet by a Y-connection. The sequence and timing of the syringes is predetermined by operating press-buttons 8-12 and a time-switch control on the cabinet. On pressing button 8, contacts 1a, 1b are opened to break the control circuit. Press buttons 9-12 are operated to selectively condition the control circuit for operation of one syringe only, both syringes are after the other immediately or after an interval of time determined by the timeswitch or the two syringes simultaneously. Alternatively, the valves may be controlled by a circuit programmed by punched cards. A connection to a radiograph may be provided on the cabinet for operating the radiograph automatically at a selected stage in the operation of the syringes. |
