<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer improved in printing quality by attaching UV ink to overlap on a surface of a printing medium in the state where the ink is smoothed and does not bleed, while it has a rather simple configuration. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The inkjet printer 10 has: a platen 12a; a printer head 22 to discharge ink; a right ultraviolet irradiation unit 23R and a left ultraviolet irradiation unit 23L for hardening the ink; and a carriage 21 having the printer head 22, and the right and left ultraviolet irradiation units 23R and 23L, mounted opposite the platen 12a, relatively reciprocated right and left to a printing sheet 1, and relatively conveyed and moved forward. On the carriage 21, the right and left ultraviolet irradiation units 23R and 23L are arranged on the right and left side to the printer head 22, and the printer head 22 is arranged to protrude backward by a predetermined distance to the right and left ultraviolet irradiation units 23R and 23L.
