<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a barrier suitable for an LED display device having a narrow pixel interval. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of stainless steel plates 123 are photo-etched respectively to form square holes 123a corresponding to positions of pixels 10 in a matrix form (Fig.4(a)). Then the plurality of stainless steel plates 123 are stacked, and heated and pressed under a vacuum to diffuse atoms on junction surfaces, thereby joining them together. Consequently, one metal plate 121 is formed (Fig.4(b)).
