<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid contact between a flexible member and a coil unit, even when pressurization between the flexible member and a second pressure member is released and the flexible member is restored to a pre-deformed shape. <P>SOLUTION: An image heating device includes: a flexible member 21 having a conductive layer 21b; a first pressure member 24 coming into contact with the inner surface of the flexible member; the second pressure member 25 pressurizing the first pressure member through the flexible member and holding and conveying a recording material P; and a coil unit 23 having a coil 23a generating a magnetic flux and provided to face the outer surface of the flexible member, to heat an image t on the recording material by heat generated in the conductive layer by the magnetic flux generated from the coil. Further, the image heating device includes a moving means 30 moving the coil unit from a position where the image on the recording material is heated and retracts the coil unit from the position, when pressure between the first pressure member and the second pressure member is made lower than that when the image on the recording material is heated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
