<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glove box having a lid body of reduced thickness and good appearance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The lid body of the glove box includes: an inner panel, which faces the inner side of the box body; and an outer panel 5, which has an external surface that faces the cabin side of a vehicle. The inner panel has welding ribs 6 provided protrusively toward the outer panel 5. The tip ends 6a of the welding ribs 6 are welded to the inner surface 5a of the outer panel 5. The thickness of the outer panel 5 is 1.2 mm or less. On the welding ribs 6, the thickness of the welding parts 6c welded to the inner surface 5a of the outer panel 5 is 1.5 mm or less, while weld deposition amount is 1.2 mm or less.
