The adjuster has a spiral spring (1) acting between a driving part and a driven part, and arranged in a spring receiving area (2). A cover part (3) axially limits the spring receiving area and/or axially fixing a position of the spring. The cover part is designed in the form of retaining ring. A radially extending peripheral groove (4) is introduced in the spring receiving area. The cover part engages behind an axially externally lying boundary wall (5) of the groove in a form-fit manner. An upturn beam (9) exhibits an axial extension that corresponds to an axial extension of the groove.
