摘要 <p>Provided is an optical recording method capable of compensating a thermal interference or an optical inter-code interference precisely at the time of recording or reproducing in an optical disk medium.  The optical recording method interchanges a laser beam with powers of a plurality of stages, and irradiates an optical disk medium with a modulated recording pulse train thereby to form a plurality of marks on the optical disk medium, so that information is recorded by making use of the individual marks and the edge positions of spaces between two adjacent marks.  The optical recording method comprises: a step of encoding recording data thereby to create encoded data of the combinations of the marks and the spaces; a step of classifying the encoded data by the combination of the mark length of the marks, the space length of a first space immediately before the marks and the space length of a second space immediately after the marks; a step of creating a recording pulse train, in which at least one of the leading edge position, the trailing edge position and the pulse width of the recording pulse train for forming the marks is changed in accordance with the classification result; and a step of irradiating the optical disk medium with the created recording pulse train thereby to form a plurality of marks on the optical disk medium.</p>
